Welcome to my page. I am a yoga teacher living and teaching in Manchester, sharing practices intended to nurture heart, body and mind.
I strive to make my teaching inclusive and responsive, and my passion is rooted in creating integrated packages of experiences that support the whole person with a particular focus on women who are trying to conceive or experiencing fertility struggles (drawing upon my own personal experiences). I aim to enable you to tap into the health and well-being benefits of yoga. I am currently particularly specialising in holistic support for women trying to conceive, blending fertility and restorative yoga, meditation and breath work with opportunities to form networks of social support.
I am currently offering 1:1 blended packages of support for women who are trying to conceive – blueprint – and you can find out more about this below. I delight in the power of daily rituals to add heart felt cohesion to our day to day lives. My expanding knowledge of plant medicine is a key strand to my own practice and sharing this is increasingly becoming a core feature of my offerings.
I have been practicing yoga for over twenty years; it offers me a space to find daily inner stillness and calm through posture work, meditation and deep relaxation. I work to share this experience with others through my teaching. My style of yoga is an eclectic mix of Hatha interweaved with a range of other influences such as yin and yoga nidra. The emphasis is always on gentleness and self-exploration .
I have a broad teaching background; I began my career as a primary teacher, and have working as a Senior Lecturer in Education, supporting university students to become teachers. I bring a wide range of educational practice and philosophies from this into my training through the Yoga Life Project in Manchester, later specialising in fertility and pregnancy yoga with Yogamama. My classes are accessible and inclusive for all, with total beginners always welcome. I attend particularly to the sequencing of experiences in my classes, and strive always to give them a creative spin or polish
